This time I really made an effort to prepare the new Easter set in advance. And I actually did it!
But then I got sick… and it turned out the way it always does.
Still, I think you’ll have plenty of time to “bake” these little gingerbread cookies before the holidays — they stitch up quite quickly.

If you know my designs, you’ll probably recognize that the style of these eggs is inspired by my recent Gingerbread Hearts collection. I simply couldn’t resist — and also a few customers asked for it — so I used the same technique to create Easter decorations.

As usual, the designs have been tested multiple times. I do my embroidery on home single-needle machines from Pfaff and Brother, as well as on a ten-needle Brother machine, and the designs worked beautifully on all of them.

I should also mention again that I create my patterns using manual digitizing, not automatic software. I aim for the smallest possible number of jumps and color changes. In the case of these lattice fillings, that was quite a challenge — but the extra effort is worth it to me so the designs can stitch smoothly without unnecessary stops and trims.

Just like with the previous hearts, the decorative motifs are stitched on the front side only. The back side is left plain — it only features the scalloped edge and the small loop for a ribbon, which you can skip if you don’t plan to hang the ornaments.

And of course, once again you can download a small free sample in the same style — either as a test design or simply as a little gift. It can be used to decorate an Easter bouquet, a wreath, greeting cards, gift bags and many more.
You can download the design together with written instructions HERE.

If you like the eggs, the full set is available in my e-shop at OPW Mall. The collection includes designs in formats HUS, JEF, PES, VIP, and VP3, and most importantly a detailed step-by-step e-book with photo instructions showing exactly how to stitch them.

And if you missed last year’s first set of gingerbread eggs, be sure to take a look HERE.
Wishing you a lovely start to the new week — and happy stitching!![]()
