It probably won’t be difficult to guess that it is going to be another mandala collection – specifically, a larger version of the popular Mandalas 2 set, this time designed for 13×18 cm hoops.

The first Mandala 1 collection, available in both a smaller and larger version, has been one of my most successful collections. The designs are still selling very well both in the Czech and international markets, and I still use them quite often for my own projects because they are so versatile and suitable for so many occasions.

The second collection was different in that the designs were even lighter and did not weigh down the fabric with an excessive number of stitches. Naturally, they are also quicker to embroider. Compared to the first set, they have a more geometric and somewhat understated look, making them perfect for projects where you want to decorate something with embroidery without overdoing it.

The designs are suitable not only for clothing, but also for handbags, tote bags, cosmetic pouches and many more. They also fit beautifully into today’s trendy minimalist interiors – on cushions, blankets, placemats and many other projects.

Most of the designs combine their original stitches, which create the look of hand-stitched quilting with thicker thread, with elements made of tiny textured dots (candlewicking). This makes the embroidery not only interesting to look at, but also really lovely to touch.

And because designs made for small 10×10 cm hoops can be too small for many textile projects, I decided to create a larger version for 13×18 cm hoops as well.
